Let us give a befitting tribute and name Chandigarh Airport as “Neerja Bhanot  International Airport” We citizens of City beautiful today went on the ride of fond memories of that chubby yet brave girl who saved PAN AM flight passengers putting her life at stake. It was the occasion of   release of Book “ Neerja Bhanot – The Smile of Courage” by Sh. Aneesh Bhanot – brother of Ms. Neerja Bhanot. Who would have courage to put life at stake at the tender age of 22. When her parents received her body, it was her 23 rd birthday – September 07, 1986. What an example she made for all the youngsters. In the light of the above, we as the citizens of City Beautiful feel that there is a need to go beyond our inhibitions, Our very own daughter of Chandigarh who is being recognized for her courage all across the globe, why can’t we make a permanent memory   by naming the airport as   “Neerja Bhanot International Airport”. We feel that there shall no issue on her name by anyo
